This really is insane. I started writing Distractions back in 2008. It wasn’t the first story I had written, but it was the one I felt I had to tell. The story had been swirling around inside my head for a long time, and I finally felt like I could conquer it. I can still remember the rush I got from letting the words flow, and posting the story online. Getting the instant reader feedback on sites like Literotica is amazing, because I felt a sense of validation. It took me another seven years, SEVEN – to think about re-working the story for publication. It’s been difficult, but I’m glad that I finally took the plunge and did it.
Distractions is finally ready to be released. After years of readers asking me what happened between Red and Gavin, and me wondering myself, I can say that I have an ending for these two. While their story starts with Distractions, they will both get Distracted and have Distracting things happen in their lives, but I hope that you will enjoy their journey with me.
So finally, after seven years of waiting, a lot of blood, sweat and tears, Distractions is finally finished. Thanks for everyone who stuck with me, my beta readers, and the fans that kept asking for more.
As always, let me know what you think.
Red has been trying to move on with her life. She really has. Her first real relationship ended in disaster and she can’t muster the energy to leave the house. Her brother Brenden and their best friend, Gavin, are sick of it. Guilting her into a night out, Red reluctantly agrees only to see her ex having the time of his life with another girl. Small town living would have it no other way. On the verge of a full blown panic attack, Gavin steps in to provide Red the distraction she needs to forget all about her ex. But as things quickly spiral out of control, will Red be able to keep her feelings for her best friend a secret in order to save their friendship?
*This book contains sexual situations and explicit language. This is Book 1 of the Distractions Series.
