Summer is almost over. The trips to the beach are winding down, and it’s time to get back to work. That goes for your writing as well.
I’ve been trying to stay on top of my social media presence over the summer, and I have to admit, it’s been really hard. I write out lists of things to do for my writing and for home, and I find myself only getting a few of those things done. Why? Because I never break my tasks into manageable chunks. I always just assume that because I put it on a to-do list, it will get done. But what ends up happening? The list keeps getting longer, and I don’t want to touch it because I have too much to do.
My solution – the Wicked With Ink Weekly Writing Planner. Download your copy here.
Each day, write out just a couple of things that you need to get done. If you have large tasks to complete, break them up into manageable pieces that will take you less than 20 minutes to complete. This way, even if you only get a piece of it done, at least you did something.
For those of you that want to see how I used it, check out the picture below. I filled in some of the things that I need to do.
